I've thought it over and making this story into a book is definitely something I want to pursue. The book won't be a five hundred page monolith, but it will certainly be a healthy length. As this is the first chapter, there is a lot of explanation that needs to be done, but I have a unique plan of fitting this in, having it make sense in chapters to come. I've decided that writing stories is something I want to do in my free time, perhaps I'll write a book or two in my time. I am a big fan of the World of Warcraft universe and this story I am about to share contains characters and settings from that universe. This is just a barebones of what I plan to write, consider this somewhere in the middle of the story rather than the start, though I'm not too entirely sure what I want to do with this idea of mine yet.
